As a boomer born in 1951, I can see the authenticity of your trepidation.
I can only say: take up the mantle of responsibiltiy in whatever capacity it is extended to you. Do the best you can in whatever tasks or challenges are laid before you.
Never give up.
There is an old saying printed on our dollars. It refers to a "higher power" in which I place some credibility. However, if providence is not your thing, just do what you can to make this nation a better place.
And care for those who are in your immediate sphere of influence. . . family, neighborhood, community, town, city, county, state, nation . . . whatever, and do the best you can to implement the policies and ideas that you see as beneficial.
Good luck, or God bless you, take your pick.
God bless America, land that I love.
