Eric, these are all very good points.

I did get a little confused, though, when, a few minutes ago on this Friday Dec 11, I read this sentence:

" Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz says he’ll argue for Trump before the Supreme Court if the Court will hear a case brought by a Republican from Pennsylvania. "

That sentence would still be timely if the last word, Pennsylvania, were changed to "Texas."

Concerning the newer Texas desperado move by Mr. Paxton:

The illegalities you expose above also apply to Paxton's wild chicanery, which is being joined by attorneys general of 17 other states.

But even more extremely illegal, on a huge scaele.

Now the Texan is wanting to use his pseudo-legal sorcery to brazenly steal millions of votes from the four "battleground" states.

My only wonder this Friday morning is why the Supreme Court has not already dismissed the Texas case.
