Hey Mia, your acceptance of this unexpected turn of circumstances is commendable.

I admire the self-control in your accepance of these conditions.

About 50 years ago, I moved into a dorm at LSU and began my University life, which has evolved in my memory as a comparably ideal existence.

I feel sorry for you, even as I express admiration. Certainly, you are missing something very unique and quite stimulative.

My wife and I raised three now-adults. We sent them to Duke and UNC many years ago, and we reveled in the independence they each developed during those unique campus years.

And I feel that, while you are missing out on the excitement of such a 21stimulating life experience, you are instead gaining an appropriately novel outlook that will prepare you for life in this 21st century.

We live in a college town. Appalachian State took the path opposite of Drexel's. Students are here, but it has been strangely quiet around here, not at all like previous fall semesters. After an initial outbrook, students have responded with incredible cooperation and quiet acceptance.

Thanks for sharing you experience on Medium. Your constructive attitude will serve as an example to many in days to come.
