I think Woodsy Owl said it best, about forty years ago:

"Give a hoot; don't pollute."

If every citizen would take this advice seriously, in terms of every habit they have, every product they buy, every expedition they enter, and everything they throw away or toss carelessly aside somewhere. . . our planet's ecosystem and its inhabitants would start to clean up their act.
