If Democrats will allow President Biden to lead, and to build centrist coalitions, such as working constructively with Joe Manchin, they can retrieve their party from the trenches of identity politics.

Then they will be in a position to defeat Republicans in '22 and '24, because the former president will dig himself deep into the mire of self-deception and foolishness.
