Left is bereft of appeal to the middle-America worldview. You’ve got to shift emphasis from Left to Center. In 2016, the irrelevancy of gender/identity politics is what robbed the great middle/moderate American electorate of its ability to outwit Trump.

I’m here to tell ya — most of the middle America families out there, with “a coupla kids in the yard of Desmond and Molly Jones” (and they may even have a frickin’ picket fence) — most of them followed the Trumpians only because of the clueless, impractical, irrelevant-to-real-life identity politics that had taken the Dem party captive.

Go Middle, young man! Go Moderate, young woman.

Those middle-Americans with the picket fence and a kid or two in the yard, etc. — eventually they’re going to need a steady job again, and probably single-payer health insurance, before this Covid maelstrom swirls past.

Our post-exceptional marauding freight train ran off the tracks, you see, in ’08. In the wake of that disaster, the blustery carnival-barker gathered up all those middle-class, blindsided toiling working-stiffs; he enticed them with his drain-the-swamp blah blah. Meanwhile, the pronoun freaks and bathroom babblers were absconding the Democratic party away from the heart of working America.

Move to the middle! and you can make a new start in this nation of start-ups.
