Love your neighbor, and do for him/her whatever you would like to have done unto you. The world-famous speaker of those words never hurt anybody, except perhaps a few merchants who might have caught the business end of a whip, while he was driving the money-mongers out of a building that was supposed to be temple.

That reformer, aka Jesus, was convicted on trumped-up charges and suffered a criminal death, which demise because the scenario for the only man in human history to have actually survived death and then lived to tell about it, which he did (tell about it), through his assistant, John, as reported in Revelation, the last book of the infamous bible.

But you gotta believe it to make any sense of it. However, the grand prize of believing that goodnews story is your very own survival after death. . . not a bad deal, obtained for the price of having a little faith in the only man history who lived, died, and then lived to tell about it.
