Moses' objective in writing the Genesis account was to make the statement that there is a Creator, God. The garden of Eden was a special project whereby he set two particular persons aside for a special task.
Adam and Eve had two sons while they were living in the garden. Cain killed Abel, but God was merciful in his judgement against Cain, so he cast him out of the special project, the garden, instead of imposing an immediate death sentence.
Cain later found himself in a land called Nod, where he met a woman who was a human generated through the divinely-initiated process of natural selection.
The rest of history.
Within that history, Jesus came along, offering hope and salvation to believers who want to believe that there is a way out of our obvious depravity. He made the ultimate sacrifice so that his experience of life after death would be told throughout the rest of human history. There is only one man in all of history who died a criminal death, then lived to tell about it. I'm going with him. How about you?
Oh, and, as for the "slave" thing. In those days, almost two decades ago, slavery was just an employment arrangement.
Lastly, Jesus said blessed are the peacemakers. That is is a principle that is worth your consideration, and cooperation, for the rest of this life.
