My first novel, Glass half-Full, was about meth-making neo-nazis in the metroDC area, and I thought I was stretching the truth a bit. Now, after your explanation, I understand why I was honing in on that fictional dysfuntion. It wasn't so fictional, after all.

It was an earlier scenario of what is happening on a larger scale now.

Not a good sign, that one's dystopian novel turns out to be a realistic depiction of--at the time--a supposed distant future.
