Not only is this a "Big Deal," but it's a new deal:
the New new Deal.
I was born in 1951. While growing up, I was a juvenile beneficiary of all that post-war manufacturing boom and exporting of the American way of life into all the world.
You expose 1971 as the turning point. That rings true. For one thing, that was the moment when Nixon and the military-industrial complex realized that their own citizenry would not allow the continuance of the Vietnam War.
Furthermore, Nixon put a stop to our US Treasury redeeming dollars with gold. Without the gold standard, our monetary framework began to fall apart.
Nowadays, the dollar is still deflating, become more worthless as we speak.
As the 1929-30 disaster had summoned forth a Roosevelt New Deal, our 2008ff disaster is, slowly but surely, summoning forth an actual national plan to supplant neoliberalism.
This rearrangement is one reason--along with another reason, sheer political hatesmanship--that the well-connected trumpians were so rabidly striving to defeat the next FDR. . . Joe Biden and his new green 'nomics, which is too.gov-centered to be lucrative for the fat cats.
Who knows-or even cares- what's on hunter's laptop?
Nothing but a big false flag, because the Rebumlicans' attempted diversion of national attention away from their fatcat0nomics has deflated and now its time for the USA to give Joe and his crew a chance to redirect this nation's industrial infrastructure toward a new plan that will enable our return to economics that will redeem /restore our natural resources instead of constantly depleting them.
The Earth is bleeding; doctor Joe has been called into the emergency room, as he operates to sew up a mortal head wound at Parklands memorial.
