Read 'em and weep, Alexis. But the reality check is that we have a constitutional system that has provided an historically legitimate framework for selecting natonal system.

Admittedly, our system is a flawed one. But there has never been, in the history of the world, a governmental system that was perfect.

The deficiency of our collective life on this planet drove me, many years ago, to a faith in higher wisdom--Jesus. My faith in him was shared, and often promoted, by George Floyd before he was murdered by a bad cop on the street of Minneapolis.

The immensity of this tragedy compelled me to write a poem about the unjust killing of our brother, George Floyd:
