I appreciate your educational reporting about this ancient sacred symbol. When I visited Sichuan province of China many years ago, I saw many of these figures on a group of stupas, and on peoples' dwellings.

Certainly you are correct, and these symbols are far, far older than the brief period of time in 20th-century Europe when hitler and his nazis absconded it for their own hateful and destructive purposes.

Unfortunately, however, Shashwath, because of what the nazis did to corrupt the significance of this hooked cross, the swastika is forever stained with shameful iniquity in the hearts and minds of Euro-American Westerners. Sorry to say. . .

the image of swastika is irreparably damaged, beyond repair.
