Although I am, nominally, a republican, it seems to me that Democratic lawyers and activists in every state should get together and support a qualified, principaled candidate for Secretary of State in every state of this Union, in order to begin constructing a law-abiding infrastructure that will not tolerate fascistic manipulations.
