The mounting up of nazi hatred was stretched out over a long period of time.
The Nuremburg laws, passed by the nazi-dominated Reichstag in 1935, constituted a major plank in their erection of a vast Reich hatred machine.
And certainly Kristallnacht in 1938 broke the ice as it broke the many many windows of Jewish shops.
