This is food for thought.

When food runs its full course, a product is deposited on the other end, but it is not a valued commodity.

Nevertheless, the end product must be dealt with, or very unpleasant conditions will dominate the atmosphere.

Where I come from, Professional plumbers are some of the most suitably-compensated people around.

And electricians.

Universities should include required plumbing and electrical maintenance in their highly-cerebral curricula.

And maybe even . . . Trash collection 101.

And what about recycling? Maybe its time . . . while we are at this infrastructural crossroads, to actually get a productive handle on this problem and its associated industry.
