Those people are deceived. Like Putin, they are attempting to manipulate evil to make it appear as good. But it does not work that way.

The founder of Christianity taught "Blessed are the meek people, for they shall inherit the earth. . . Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy . . . Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

The founder of Christian faith also warned his own followers that deceivers would position themselves among the believers for purposes of deception and personal gain. He addressed the problem of their nefarious activity by commanding, "Depart from me, you workers of iniquity, for I never knew you."
