Tiffani, your advice to business leaders is astoundingly benevolent, but your compassion is, I fear, a virtue that will be swept down in the avalanche when this bubble bursts.

Those "business as usual" puppetmasters are operating as inflators, pumping--whether knowingly or not--pumping hot air into this hyper-financialized balloon.

I don't know what will be the pin that will prick this bubble, but sooner or later some as-yet-indeterminable factor or player will become the sharp point that busts the baloon.

At that time, those clueless benchmark-driven managers and their over-financialized overlords will be streaming for the exits.

Maybe then, you can take a break. But it will probably be a permanent one. Then you'll be on your own.
