Then if push comes to shove, we are well-prepared, way ahead of the game. We can then act forcefully, as our guys did in 1942-45 to defeat nazi, fascist and hirohito aggression, if necessary.

We do not want to blow our wad in the early stages of any war just for the sake of saving face.
