Well this is an interesting little story from back in the day. While reading it, I contemplated that Graham Nash was a direct connection between British rock--expressed so profoundly by, not only the Beatles, but Gerry and the Pacemakers and the Hollies.
In a way, probably, Graham Nash was the life line between, let's say, Strawberry fields and Laurel Canyon.
George was an incredibly gifted musicaian. His blooming virtuosity was a phenomenon that was only later appreciated--as you have done here--because of the brilliance of McCartney and Lennon.
"Taxman" is, in my opinion, a severe understatement when you consider the incredible virtuosity and inspiration of "Here Comes the Sun" and "Something."
Looking back on it, all I can think is: We love you, George, oh yes we do, we love the things you say, the things you do. . . like sitting in the sunshine, or contemplating the profundity of your lover who "attracts me like no other."
Those were the days, Daniel, for an ole boomer like me. Thanks for the memories.
