I don't think any American has ever experienced a home wake-up call like this! Except maybe a few New Yorkers on a certain Sept11 morning.

But hey, Danielle, I feel that your dramatization here is exactly what is needed for us to enter into some experiential solidarity with Ukrainians.

It is a very appropriate wake-up call, even though I just read it in the middle of a sunny afternoon.
