"Woke" was not such a terrible descriptor word when it was originally coined as a statement about awareness of the history of racism in our formerly slave-holding country.

But when "woke" got dragged into to the sex-identity quagmire , that's when the magamaniacs didn't know what to do with it, so they just did what they habitually do to everything that they can't understand: they flung it up on a cross and burnt the meaning of the word with their flames of misplaced hatred.
