Yeah, I hear you, Daniel. I wrote a novel, Smoke, about what was happening in Europe in 1937.

What was happening there . . . it ain’t nice, nor encouraging to contemplate. What is happening here and now . . . I do not want to compare it to Germany in the 1930’s, because the outcome would be too dismal.

Let’s just breathe some fresh air for awhile and hope that moderates from both sides can agree on enough system repairs to keep this country moving forward toward a sustainable infrastructure that will make enough people busy to keep Americans out of destructive mischief.
