Your article here, Melissa, states plainly what we have been experiencing for the last 20 or 30 years.

I'm a Christian southerner with a conservative lifestyle but appreciation for progressive politics.

I have learned vast amounts of info from Terry Gross. She is perhaps the best interviewer I have heard/seen in my 69-year lifetime.

I don't listen to Morning Edition any more, nor All Things Considered. They're too predictable, too knee-jerk progressive.

I don't use the "liberal" nomenclature, because in classic econo/political literature, what was considered liberal two centuries ago. . . Adam Smith et al, Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Paine . . . is now the ideological territory of conservatives.

I like Terry and Megna Chakrabarti On Point.

I like discussion, exchange, informative dialogue. I suppose such preference now indicates a leftist orientation, because conservative nowadays seems to constist of constant rejection of anything of NPR or MSNBC or anything that is labeled "leftist" by Fox or Rush or Lindsey or that guy who's in the white house now. . .

Thanks, Melissa, for casting into text what we have been acting out for the last 30 years or more.
